It’s not Max’s car anymore though, and is instead being driving by the War Boys. Furthermore, the XB does come back later in the film, this time with the body taken down to bare metal and with not one, but apparently two superchargers. You might think it strange to destroy the XB so soon, but this act serves as a metaphor for the film. We see it in the opening of the film, in all its moody matt black glory, but then it is almost instantly destroyed in a pretty vicious barrel roll. You’d think, what with this being Mad Max, that the Ford Falcon XB driven by Max would be the star of the show, but that’s not the case. They were authentic to, ironically, the fictional world in which they would inhabit.

The Cadillac Coupe de Ville with two engines? Yeah, they both worked and powered the monster. As in, they all worked in the way they should. And thanks to Miller’s drive (pun intended) for realism, every car in Fury Road was physical. Rolling battle wagons, petrol-powered works of art, and each one is more wonderful and fascinating than the next. They were cars once, but in the world of Max, they have become something else. Though saying that, ‘cars’ is a bit of a stretch. Here, we’re looking at Miller’s most recent offering, 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road. In it, Tom Hardy mumbles, Charlize Theron has one arm and Nicholas Hoult spray paints his teeth silver. But that wouldn’t look as good on screen. Silly really, as a little 1.0 Micra would make far more sense. One where petrol is the most valuable commodity, where laws are no longer present and where – despite fuel being so valuable and scarce – the V8 is king. A cinematic universe set in an arid, post-apocalyptic world. George Miller’s Mad Max. That’s where it’s at. Though Pretty Woman does have a pretty sweet Lotus Esprit in it, which is cool.

Darkone2007 photo_library mode_commentĪnd being a pre order & Getting the Ripper owner the game was just ok the mechanics of the game were ok I hated the in car camera a bit it need to be more see able & the weapon come on a shotgun blades it needed more weapons the rest was ok.When you think of a movie full of automotive action, you think of Pretty Woman. No, wait, sorry, you think of the Mad Max series. So really people can love Road Warrior all they want but at the end of the day, it was his own goddamn fault that Warner Bros went in their own direction with the game. Also he screwed over Interplay for a deal with EA. Instead he basically comes up with decent concepts, gets them to about 20% completion and then sits on them for years. Way better then Crossout 2star better then what ever Crossout got

U guys realize they F ed George Miller making this game every one Post Apocalyptic Cars FB & the wasteland community know it.Īnd being a pre order & Getting the Ripper owner the game was just ok the mechanics of the game were ok I hated the in car camera a bit it need to be more see able & the weapon come on a shotgun blades it needed more weapons the rest was ok. P.S I am not pissed I just happened to look at the group & see ur reply. Think about it George Miller was looking at the game tech of the day mine being Play Station not PS1 days as a kid and I see why he was wanting to wait not this long & see if it gets better & I don't think the tech of today will get any better then it is so it might be a good time soon for a proper WASTELAND Game I just hope its better then this game was GTA is more open than this. & from what I can see & actually building Wasteland cars in Forza & also being connected with Post Apocalyptic Cars Facebook.

If he wasn't a control freak he should have let Mad Max: Asylum have happened back in the PS2 era. The game would have never been released if George was left in charge of it. George Miller spent 20+ years for Fury Road and it was alright in the end.
